Some links on 5 For Fighting are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller. It never costs you extra, and it helps pay for the site, the podcast, and the stats tools you use here.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special link that lets a retailer know you came from our site. If you make a qualifying purchase after clicking it, the retailer pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not.

How we decide what to recommend

We only recommend things we’d point a fellow hockey fan toward. Our opinions are our own, and we won’t say something is good just because it pays. A commission never changes what we say.

Free products, tickets, and sponsorships

If we receive free products, tickets, discounts, or payment from a brand, we’ll say so clearly at the top of that post. Sponsored content is labeled “Sponsored.”

How to spot affiliate links

Articles: any post with affiliate links has a note near the top, before the first link. We may also mark individual links with “(affiliate link).”
Newsletter: we put a note at the top of any email that includes affiliate links.
Podcast and video: we mention it in the episode and in the show notes or description.
Social media: we use labels like #affiliate or #ad where you can see them.

Prices, availability, and your purchases

Prices, deals, and availability come from the retailer and can change, so check the retailer’s site before you buy. When you buy through an affiliate link, your purchase is with the retailer. We don’t handle payment, shipping, returns, or customer support for those purchases.

Our own merch store is separate. Those orders are sold by 5 For Fighting and fulfilled by Printful, and they are not affiliate purchases.

Cookies and tracking

Retailers use cookies to credit us for referrals. You can block cookies in your browser, and your purchase won’t be affected, but we may not get credit for it. See our Privacy Policy for more.
